Hi there,

Thank you so much for taking a moment to get to know me better.

Here, you'll learn more about who I am, where I come from, and what fuels the heart behind my photography. When you choose to book a session, you're not just supporting a business—you’re supporting the ecosystem of my life. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I’m truly grateful you’re here.

My name is Amazaday (yes, that’s really my name!). I’ve been a photographer for over 16 years, and for the past 10, I’ve had the joy of specializing in weddings.

Photography has always been my greatest form of manifestation. I see something in my mind and then I create it. As a teenager, photography gave me a safe space to express my sadness, frustration, hope, and eventually, my victories. It has always been more than a job—it’s been a lifeline, a language, and a way of healing.

I was born in Mexico and moved to the U.S. when I was 10. Around the age of 17, I was granted DACA status, which gave me the opportunity to work and stay in the country legally. Living life as an immigrant shaped me into someone who dreams deeply and persistently.

It also gave me a clearer understanding of life’s complexities at an early age. Because of this, I try to live each day with intention, honesty, and compassion.

Photography brought me to Washington in 2017—and life had more beauty in store for me. That’s where I met my husband, the love of my life. At the time, he was working in tech and I was working in HR.

Together, we decided to take a leap into our creative passions. He now works in comics, and I chose to pursue photography full-time, leaving behind the corporate world to follow what truly lights me up.

This path has given me more than just a career—it’s allowed me to give back. I now have the freedom to donate my time to causes I care about, and I truly believe that when we have space to reflect and process our emotions, we become better humans—and that ripple matters.

(Also, did I mention I love psychology?)

I love celebrating love. In a world that sometimes feels heavy, love is what lifts us up. Wherever love exists, I believe it deserves to be honored and celebrated.

Thank you for being here.

With love, Amazaday
